Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff planning to host a program, activity, camp or event for minors, including unpaid laboratory internships and mentorships, whether in-person or online, on campus or a remote location, are required to follow the Programs for Minors policy UTDSP5015 – Programs for Minors and supplemental guidelines (pdf).All sponsored and joint-sponsored PACE for minors are required to register with the Programs for Minors Office using CircuiTree camp management software. The Programs for Minors Office will work with program directors and coordinators to ensure adequate plans are in place to provide a safe learning environment for each registered PACE. All PACE for minors must be registered and approved by the Programs for Minors Office prior to the start of the event.All participant registrations must occur in CircuiTree as well. The hosting department will be responsible for paying $4.15 per participant registration, plus any applicable credit card processing fees for tuition charged.

Incident Reporting
Child Abuse Hotline
Texas law requires anyone with knowledge of suspected child abuse or neglect to immediately report it to the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Reports can be made at any time by phone at 1-800-252-5400 or online at Texas Abuse Hotline.
PACE Supervision Ratios
One adult can supervise up to:
- 6 children ages 4 to 5
- 8 children ages 6 to 8
- 10 children ages 9 to 14
- 12 children ages 15 to 17
