Title IX Compliance

The University of Texas at Dallas (“UTD”) is committed to maintaining a learning and working environment that is free from discrimination and harassment based on sex in accordance with federal and state laws, including Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX reads:

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance[.]

UTD’s Sexual Misconduct Policy (UTDBP3102) prohibits all forms of sex-based discrimination and sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, as well as other related prohibited conduct. Retaliation against anyone for submitting a report, filing a Formal Complaint, participating in or refusing to participate in a Grievance Process; or otherwise opposing an unlawful practice under this policy is prohibited.
